What Are You Thankful For?

Are there things that you desire to have in our life that you feel could make you happier?

Are there things that you desire to have in our life that you feel could make you happier? I am sure we have all felt that way at sometime in our lives. There is a little secret to getting what you desire in your life. The secret is to be thankful for what you have now.

The Lord desires to supply all of your needs and richly bless you wit His favor. Thank Him for the miracles, the large things and the small things. In my book, Inspirations, I write about thankfulness and praise:

“Thankfulness for God's blessings should ever be on your lips. The more you thank Him and praise Him for the things that He has done, the more of His favor He will shower upon you. Just as a parent rewards their child for good deeds, so does the father reward His faithful ones for the good they do toward others. God's love for us is unconditional. He sees beyond our faults. He understands that as a human, we may make mistakes...God's favor has no limits and so our thankfulness should have no limits as well...Praising God and thanking Him go hand in hand. Continually have his praise upon your lips and He will continually bless you.”

Thank Him each morning that you have been given the gift of a brand new day. Thank Him that you have the chance to do good toward others. Give thanks for what you do have, an income, food, shelter, relationships and friends.

It's too easy to take God's blessings for granted. We must also thank God for what we don't have. This could be thanking Him that we are not sick, or a victim of crime, for His protection against accidents. For all the things that you don’t want in your life. Give God the thanks He deserves, and in return you will see his bountiful favor. Thank you, Lord for everything!
